TOSOT News & EventsTosot Philippines Marks 10 Years of ‘Life is Cool’ with a Gift That Opens Doors

January 21, 2026

To celebrate its 10th anniversary in the Philippines, Tosot Philippines committed to sponsor 10 senior high school students from BASECO — giving them the chance to pursue the futures they’ve been working so hard for.

Tosot Philippines Corporation has partnered with World Vision to give ten senior high school students from BASECO Compound in Manila the opportunity to continue their education. The sponsorship, which coincides with Tosot’s 10th anniversary in the country, is a meaningful expression of the company’s commitment to the communities where it operates—and a bold step toward breaking the cycle of poverty for ten young Filipinos.

For many young people in BASECO, making it to senior high school is already an achievement. The community—located on reclaimed land in Manila’s Port Area—is home to roughly 60,000 residents, most of them informal settlers navigating daily life with limited access to basic services, including education. With families often depending on irregular income, the transition from junior high to senior high school can be the point where a child’s education comes to a stop—not because of a lack of will, but because of a lack of resources

A decade of technology, originality, and trust

Tosot Philippines Corporation was formally introduced to the Philippine market in October 2015, bringing with it a brand built on the values its name stands for: Technology, Outstanding, Style, Originality, and Trust. An exclusive importer and distributor of products from Gree Electric Appliances, Tosot Philippines has spent the past decade making quality air solutions accessible to Filipino homes and businesses.

Celebrating a decade in the Philippines, Tosot chose to mark the occasion not just with company milestones, but with a commitment that looks outward. The decision to sponsor ten students was a deliberate one: ten scholars for ten years, each representing a future that Tosot hopes to be part of shaping.

Ten students. Ten chances at a full life.

The ten scholars from BASECO are now pursuing their senior high school education—a critical stage that bridges basic schooling and either higher education or technical-vocational pathways. For communities like BASECO, where World Vision has worked since 2009, reaching senior high school is both a personal victory and a community milestone.

World Vision has long been present in BASECO, implementing programs in education, child protection, livelihood, and disaster resilience. Through the years, the organization has walked alongside families, helping children stay in school and equipping young people with the skills and confidence to pursue their potential. The Tosot partnership adds a new chapter to this story—one where corporate goodwill translates into concrete, life-changing support.

Bold hope, one student at a time

For the ten BASECO scholars, the Tosot scholarship means more than financial support. It means being seen. It means someone outside their community believed their education was worth investing in.

Tosot Philippines has stepped into that role with clarity and intention. As the company looks ahead to its next decade in the Philippines, it does so by investing in something more enduring than any product—the potential of ten young people from BASECO, and the hope that their futures will be cool, bright, and full.
